This is a mounted Original cyanotype print with gold leaf. I use the traditional cyanotype process with a contemporary twist each print is a one off piece of art. I created this with lots of love at my studio in Glynllifon Country Park North Wales.
Cyanotype is a chemical composition which was invented by Sir John Herchel in 1842 he discovered the light sensitive solution could be used as a coating on paper and the sun to expose the image. The first ever illustrated photographic book was published in 1843 by Anna Atkins who was a botanist each book was hand made and used the cyanotype process.
